Yoga - 7/4

Posted by Sachi under: Flexibility.

Yoga at home with my DVD. A harder work out than my Sunday yoga class for a variety. I was able to do one of the poses that I’d strugged with before much more easily. I can really feel that different exercises tie in together.

About

After not liking running for my entire life, I just started running in June 2008. My friends in the UK who are ex-pro & super experienced triathletes inspired me to start running. Their active life style rubbed off on me while I went to visit them in June. I'm still a beginner runner, but I'm starting to like it the more I run. I started swimming when I was 5, and was in a swim team until 12. After that the school that I went to didn't have any swimming program, so I've just been swimming on my own, on and off. I'm starting to swim more regularly with a local masters swim program. I want my swim groove back. My first goal is to participate in a 5k run, and then I'm registered to participate in a Muddy Buddy race in November (run, bike and obstacles). I'm really looking forward to that one. I want to eventually go for a sprint triathlon when I have more strength and endurance. If all those people out there can do it, so can I! It's never too late to start something new. I want to build my stamina along the way so I won't get sick so easily. A couch potato, no longer.
